Today we welcome Randall Nichols to the DroneSec advisory board. A great connector and deeply embedded in the drone security realm, Randall has been an ally and a friend to the business.
Randall K. Nichols is Professor of Practice in Unmanned Aircraft Systems – Cybersecurity at Kansas State University. Nichols serves as Director, Graduate UAS- Cybersecurity. Professor Nichols has 52 years of experience in leadership roles in engineering, cryptography, counterintelligence, InfoSec, sensitive computer applications, and Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Nichols founded COMSEC Solutions which was later acquired by a public company.
The USDOJ recognizes him as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in both Cryptography and Computer Forensics. Throughout his career, Nichols has published twelve best-selling textbooks including offensive / defensive cyber countermeasures most recently applied to UAS and Underwater-UAS (especially SWARMS).
