Role Description

We are seeking a skilled intelligence analyst (NA/EU) to assess and analyze threats related to uncrewed/unmanned systems (UxS). You will work with the intelligence community (IC) and defense teams to identify emerging threats, assess TTPs, analyzing technical payloads and components. You will provide customers with detailed analysis of UxS incidents, C-UxS effectiveness and identify vulnerabilities in adversary technologies and operations that could be exploited to defeat them.

Your work will directly influence the C-UxS mission and understanding of countering the growing threat of UxS. You will interact with the collection team to assemble, fuse, analyze, and deliver tailored answers to requests for information (RFI) from various customers. You will be expected to become a Subject Matter Expert on the capabilities, tactical employment, and distribution of UxS that adversaries could use for terrorism, contraband, weaponization and warfare.

Primary Objectives

  • Conduct detailed analysis on UxS technologies, incidents and trends.
  • Research, analyze and produce customer Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Prepare and deliver briefings of gathered and analyzed materials.
  • Maintain proprietary databases and threat matrices.
  • Maintain the UAS General Intelligence Requirements (U-GIR) framework.

Secondary Objectives

  • Document and improve procedures, methodologies and workflows.
  • Assist with intelligence source identification and updates to platform databases.
  • Assist with the DroneSec platform product roadmap and requirements.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Conflict, Security, Terrorism, Warfare, Intelligence or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an intelligence analysis role.
  • Familiarity with intelligence frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, including the intelligence cycle and risk management.
  • Strong familiarity of Groups 1-3 UAS platforms, operational capabilities, and threat vectors.
  • Highly proficient in all-source or Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection and analysis
  • Superior writing and briefing skills, ability to produce clear and structured intelligence reports.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of C-UxS technologies, methods and employment.
  • Experience in piloting and/or building UAS (COTS, FPV, Fixed-Wing)
  • Familiarity with UGV/UUV/USV platforms, operational capabilities, and threat vectors.
  • Familiarity with COMMINT, ELINT, SIGINT and related fields.
  • Familiarity with weapon systems, munitions and ordnance identification.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software for data visualization and interpretation.
  • Proven ability to work within tight timelines with high-quality output.
  • Prior working background in defence, government or agencies.
