Last night, DroneSec took part in the IDGA CUAS Summit, giving a short-but concise talk on highlighting some of the pre and post-fact benefits of using UAS Threat Intelligence to pair with a CUAS programme. Whilst the summit was not public, you can view a video recording of our talk.
A few items of interest this week, from the UK CPNI guide on countering UAS threats to an RFI from Australia’s Airservices on a national, integrated drone surveillance system. A great CFP out of Europe looks towards organisations that can provide coordination and standardisation of CUAS testing measures (one of the reasons we created a ‘DIY-Self Guide’ for government agencies looking to test CUAS without biased vendor parameters). All these and more in this week’s issue.
This month we take a trend-based look at incidents in August, down for the first time this year, according to the artefacts we’ve collected. As many countries around the world are still in COVD-19 lockdown, it may not be so surprising – however, it will be just as important to monitor the September result as some of those curfews and restrictions begin to lift.
