Drone Threat Intel Report: DroneSec Notify #9
This summary has been extracted from our weekly public threat intelligence report. For more information on the platform or weekly email PDFs, please visit: dronesec.com/pages/notify or email us at [email protected] or join the slack group at dronesec.slack.com.
This week the team is based in Singapore for the Airshow and the Global Drone Security Network (GDSN). Unfortunately, due to novel coronavirus a number of other events we were expecting to attend have been cancelled. Nevertheless, it has been was great to see and meet a number of drone and counter-drone organisations at the exhibition and the different innovations of each. Even SkyLock, an artefact in this week’s Notify and DroneShield are present at this year’s air show.
My personal highlight this week was having Christopher Church from INTERPOL speak at the GDSN – a great example of law enforcement tackling the problem from community and industry angles. Alongside we had electronic engineers, teachers, UTM architects and hackers join us from a variety of backgrounds; exactly what the drone security industry needs at this time. It was a great event and we look forward to the next one soon.
From a threat intelligence perspective, we’ve got some exciting automation changes in the works that collect events from a number of new sources. These changes will roll out over the next few weeks, as we attend the Kids SecuriDay workshop (Melbourne, Australia) and undertake training for the March 18th-20th DroneSec training courses.
For anyone at the Airshow, please continue to come and say hello and for everyone else, stay safe and have a great week ahead.
